How Does Strategic Intervention Coaching Work?

Picture

The coaching strategies I use are based on what is called Strategic Intervention (SI) and on the Body/Mind/Spirit Coaching Philosophy of Deepak Chopra. SI uses several modalities developed by Tony Robbins, along with Dr. Chloe Madanes, Human Needs Psychology and famed Psychologist, Milton Erickson's strategies. His practice of breaking the patterns of people's negative stories and replacing them with positive ones has been groundbreaking in the field of psychology.

Strategic Intervention (SI) uses Human Needs Psychology, developed by Dr. Chloe Madanes and Tony Robbins, the "father" of coaching. Human Needs Psychology demonstrates that all people seek to fulfill 6 needs, a sort of Maslow's Hierarchy. Although everyone experiences each Human Need, different people experience them at varying levels and varying ways and the key to successful relationships is for each partner to understand what the other needs and work together to fulfill them. To illustrate how Strategic Intervention works, see "Finding Lost Motivation" and "The 'I-Am-Not-Worthy' Belief".

Deepak Chopra's philosophy expands the concept of well-being to encompass mind, body and spirit. I have come to believe that we all exist in a field of consciousness and, although we may appear physically separate, we really all share in a universal field of energy and love. Spiritual self-care practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork are as important as nutrition, yoga and somatic experiencing, or from sensory practices such as sound healing and aromatherapy. These practices, coupled with Deepak Chopra's methodology centering on four cornerstones: Purpose; Intention; Meaning Making; and Shadow Work, allows us to get at the core of our being for deep healing.
